Happy Birthday to The Cozy Pages!!!

About a week ago, Word Press sent me the notification that it was the anniversary of creating my blog.   Today, however, is the one year anniversary on my first post.

It’s been a truly wonderful year, getting to know so many bloggers from around the world.  Many of us are drawn to bookblogging as it gives us a chance to chat about books and authors we love with people who also enjoy them.  For me, my blog is a space I feel free to express my thoughts, my crazier side, my enjoyment of some fluffier reading and not be judged for it.  It’s a happy place and many days I look forward to spending time chatting with fellow bloggers or preparing new posts.

I remember being so shocked that anyone would care to follow or like or even comment on my posts.  Jay, Dani and Jordan were a few of the first people who stopped by and followed.  Their blogs and posts provided fantastic inspiration and they themselves are bloggers with whom I love to chat.

Of course, that list has expanded tremendously and it wouldn’t be possible to list everyone as I’d leave out someone and then feel terrible… so I’ll forgo that attempt. 😳 😂  But if I forgot to mention the fantabulous Shalini and Nicole, my comment box would be inundated by them both… and probably not in a good way! 😉 I love you guys and our friendship is just proof that even with its many drawbacks, the www truly provides an outlet for like-spirited people to meet and connect.

Anyway, this was not supposed to get sappy at all, but while writing this post I’ve come to realise just how much I love blogging and the opportunities this hobby has provided.  I’m sure many of you can relate.

At the start of this year I had great plans to use Rafflecopter and run a giveaway to celebrate my blogiversary… that hasn’t quite happened!!! Sorry!  Maybe to celebrate 1000 followers.  Lol.

Anyway, here’s a link to my very first post as a bookblogger!  Of course, it was dedicated to my  favourite genre, even though I do love others and have come to enjoy even more still!  Here’s is the post: I Love Cozy Mysteries.

Thank you for joining me on this wonderful blogging adventure.  I look forward to many more posts and interactions to come… and of course, even more layers to the mountainous to be read pile!

  2. Happy birthday to your blog and congratulations on a job well done. I was hook as a child, also. When I found and read my Father’s collection of the Rover Boys, than on to Nancy Drew and the Carnegie library and one summer I read most of the children books. I also raised my grades from unsatisfactory to outstanding that summer.

    1. Wow. The power of books to transform. People don’t give reading for pleasure enough credit.

Thanks very much Betty! You were also one of my earliest followers and I’ve enjoyed reading your reviews over the last year.

      1. When I was substitute teaching the school districts had a exercise “drop everything and read”
It didn’t matter what you reading and it could come at anytime. I enjoy what others think about books especially those that I read

  5. Happy blogiversary, Nina! I can’t believe you’ve only been going for a year, given the incredible following you have. Just shows how incredibly good you are at this. Hope you enjoy your celebrations and thank you for all the support you’ve given me xx

      1. I totally know what you mean! It really did become an extension of my life and I can’t imagine a day without it now. Even if somehow Bookidote were to get deleted from the face of the Earth, I’d have ended up immediately creating a new blog to fill back up that gap in my life! 😂 Keep on blogging, Nina! 😁
