Review and Blog Tour of The Ear She Should Never Desire by Lara Temple @laratemple1 @rararesources

Lara Temple’s historical fiction novels are not to be missed… and this one is no exception.

This very handsome earl…Is the one man she cannot fall for…
War widow Lily Walsh has left her aristocratic family behind, but she can’t deny her younger sister’s request to come to London to meet her fiancé. Though not a love match, Lord Sherborne is kind, amusing and ideal for her sister on paper. But as Lily gets to know him, she’s finding him alarmingly attractive! And the forbidden look in the earl’s eye shows the feeling is mutual…

I know the idea of the ‘love triangle’ trope can be off-putting… worse yet, it’s between sisters! But I promise you, it’s not quite like that!

Lily and Annie have the most beautiful, supportive relationship and they really only want to do their duty to their family and to each other. Part of that duty is supporting each other in finding true love.

I loved the relationship between the sisters and even baby brother, Piers. Their bond is all the stronger due to the harsh and unkind ways of their mother and less than attentive father. One of my favourite lines is where Marcus asks the sisters if they’re sure they are not foundlings as they are so much more loving and charming than their critical, conniving mother.

Then there’s Lily and Marcus. Of course, theirs is a slow burn affair due to his engagement to her sister. However, when things become possible, the fireworks explode and the romance that was blossoming comes into full bloom. The witty banter between the two is mere foreplay to the fire within…

Another fantastic tale of love, historical delight and by Lara Temple.

About the Author

Lara Temple writes strong and sensual Regency romances about complex individuals who give no quarter but do so with plenty of passion. She lives with her husband, two children, and one very fluffy dog and they are all very understanding about her taking over the kitchen table so she can look out over the garden as she writes and dreams up her Happy Ever Afters.
