The Unique Blogger Award (2)

Unique Blogger

Thank you very much to my blog buddy Siobhan for this nomination.  I suggest you head over to her site to enjoy some very insightful reviews on the books she reads.  Her blog, Siobhan’s Novelties, has a beautiful design and is a pleasure to read.

THE RULES
  • Display the award!
  • Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
  • Answer the questions they’ve written for you!
  • Nominate 8-13 bloggers and give them three questions in the spirit of sharing love and solidarity within our blogging family!

THE QUESTIONS

1 Which villain have you fallen in love with?

Okay, so this one is from a movie, although the movie is based on a book (The Chinaman by Stephen Leather)!  I really liked Liam Hennessy in The Foreigner.  Perhaps, that has something to do with the distinguished Pierce Brosnan playing that role… but just  little!  Pierce plays Liam, an ex-IRA soldier turned government representative who Quan (played by Jackie Chan) holds responsible for a bombing in which his daughter was killed.

2 What is the last blog post you struggled with the most? Why?

I haven’t published it as yet; need to finish editing.  It’s a review of parts 2 and 3 of the Rogue River Novella Mystery Series.  I’m struggling because I read the books, moved on and then several weeks later I was trying to remember enough to write substantial reviews!  I suspect this is going to be a recurring problem as there are a few books well I read last month and which I now have to review.

3 What series would you love to be apart of?

Well there’s the one I’ve been raving over for the last two months… Spells and Caramels by Erin Johnson.  And of course, the pretty much default answer for most of my questions… HARRY POTTER!  Lol

My questions…

I have to say, I really enjoyed Siobhan’s questions so I’m passing these on to you!

  1. I totally understand your dilemma with reading, moving on, and the.l forgetting about the book you want to review after! I’ve actually started opening a draft titled after the book and I write point form notes to remind me of certain things as I read so it’s easier to go back and say “oh ya, I loved that.. But, that was really annoying!” 😉💖

    1. I just started something similar. Lol.
But then this last book I read I forgot to make the draft and now I just have a whole bunch of notes in the book itself. I have to see how easy it will be to copy and paste them out into a document.
Also, I have an 85 chapters book and I’ve been writing a line or two from each chapter… that’s gonna add up man!

  2. Congrats on the award, Nina! I feel the same as far as reviews. I’m reading more than reviewing and don’t like to wait because I don’t retain enough! It’s a bad feeling to me.
