Review of Justice For Belle by Didi Oviatt @RRBookTours1 @Didi_Oviatt #creativia

Ahnia has a very dicey past – one that is scratching under the surface, just dying to get out.
She’s hit rock bottom, broke and desperate to be on top again. When she finds herself partnering up with man she hardly knows, and who’s utterly untouchable, she’s forced out of her comfort zone in every way.
Will Ahnia and Mac’s dangerous decision be a success, or will she find herself in the clutches of an unforgiving force, brought about by her childhood sin?
In this nail biting thrill ride, no one is as they seem… and no one is truly safe with those they trust.

Available on Amazon and through Kindle Unlimited.

Well, let me tell you this was certainly a departure from my usual mystery reading. I love my sweet and fun cozies but I decided to be a bit more adventurous and try Didi’s gritty suspense novella. I was well-entertained.

Ahnia is an intriguing protagonist. She’s definitely shades of grey. We see her vulnerable side, her clever side, her sweet side and then we get a whiff of her cray-cray past! She’s also not above breaking some moral and ethical rules if it will assist her in the long run.

Then we meet Mac and he’s everything gorgeous and dangerous. Mac’s intensity is captured in his actions, what he says and especially in what he doesn’t say.

I liked the chemistry that built up between these two and would have loved to explore it some more. Circumstances have thrown Ahnia and Mac together but even if their pasts were less murky, they could still have been drawn to each other.

I wish this more of a full-length story as I would have loved to get more on Mac’s real backstory. Ahnia’s childhood, although more developed, could also have done with a few extra touches. I found the ending a little on the abrupt side and definitely wanted to explore Mac even more at that point. That said, the main mystery and key questions were resolved.

The suspense ride was enough for me and some of the more graphic scenes were just enough to mess with my head a little. At some point, when I’m feeling even more adventurous, I’ll try one of Didi’s full length books!

I give Justice For Belle 4/5 justifiable espresso shots.

  2. Nina THANK YOU so much for reading my book! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it! This is such an awesome review. Shalini’s right, I’m happy dancing all over the place right now! If you’re afriad of the gore in my next book stick with Search For Maylee rather than the others haha, some of my stuff gets a little intense, and sorta raunchy hahaha

    1. Hahaha. I’ll have to consider Maylee. The raunchy isn’t a problem at all. I mean I read Shalini’s blog after all! And let her comment too! 😂😂. It’s the messing with my head and making me jump at my shadow bits…. 😘😘
