I’m taking part in a new monthly meme created by Tina over at Reading Between the Pages. On the first day of each month she will post a Looking Ahead – This Month’s TBR List. If you have a TBR list for the month feel free to link in. You are more than welcome to use her image or one of your own. Tina thinks this will be a fun way to meet new bloggers, branch out to different genres, and find some new must-read books. I agree! Go check out her website and join in the fun.
I’m very pleased with myself for sticking to my January TBR. Making that list really worked to help me stay focussed, which was good as 4 out of my planned 6 were for required reviews. The list was a good guide but was not a pressure at all. I hope to continue in this vein.
Here’s my February TBR plan:
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Seashells, Spells and Caramels by Erin Johnson
Class Reunions Are Murder by Libby Klein
The Miser’s Dream by John Gaspard
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
When selecting this month’s books I also considered the Fantastic February Challenge.
The lovely Kathy@Books & Munches will be running a month-long reading challenge, “Fantastic February” which gets readers to focus on fantasy and paranormal books (or at least try it, for those who aren’t already addicted!… you know who you are 😉 ).
Rules
You don’t need to dedicate a whole month to reading those two genres; a book or two definitely will do!
◊ Sign up by posting a blog post and linking back to Kathy’s page.
◊ Share your list of fantastic books and show us which ones you’re going to try and read.
◊ If you’re sharing your updates on social media, use #FantasticFeb so we can follow up on each other!
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Seashells, Spells and Caramels by Erin Johnson and even The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood all fall into these categories and are the books that I’ll check out for Fantastic February.
What are your reading plans for this month?
Happy February!
I read the handmaids tale for book club this past month….hmmmm…..

Hahaha. Not a huge fan myself, bit recently I’ve read a couple that I did not mind… much to surprise. Guess I’ll see how I like it soon enough.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on these, especially Night Circus. Lists are so helpful with staying on course. Very smart! Hope your February is just as good as last month. 😊 Have a great week!

Finished it last night. Oh. My. Goodness.
How is it even possible for one person to think and write like that?! I already want to reread it.

Still have those images dancing in my brain. It was such a feast of words!
I’m hoping I enjoy Handmaid’s enough to get through quickly, at least.

I will look out for your review of The Night Circus. I wasn’t the biggest fan, but I’m interested to see what you think!

I was apprehensive about it but ended up enjoying it quite a lot. Finished it last night. Need to think about how to review something that has been reviewed thousands of times!

I don’t make monthly TBR lists anymore, but if I did, I would definitely join this monthly meme. I might take a peek anyway and see what everyone is planning to read. The Night Circus is one of my favorite books. I hope you enjoy. Happy reading!

I did enjoy. Lol. I think that’s why I wasn’t happy with Charm and Curse 😬

Hmmm interesting plan to make a monthly TBR. I think that might be too much pressure for me. I’ll stick with my general idea:)

Lol. I’m surprised I didn’t feel pressured but I think that’s cuz I didn’t over stuff the list. Plus some books I need to keep track of for blog tours 😀
