Review and Blog Tour for Son and Country by Emmanuelle Snow @snowemmanuelle @digitalreadspr

What a treat it is to welcome back Emmanuelle Snow to The Cozy Pages. Even better, we get to enjoy one of her Christmas releases!!! Actually, we get two of them… but the other one is for later this week!

Son and Country is an emotional soulmates romance. They never promised each other forever. But life had other plans for them. What if their night together in a stranded airport was the first chapter of their story? Will they be able to find their way back to each other, or is their happily ever after doomed from the start?

I met Anderson Ford four years ago when we spent a night together stranded in an airport due to a blizzard, the night before Christmas Eve. We shared more than just our hopes and dreams that night, we shared our souls.

The only thing we didn’t share was our full names.

He was Andy, and I was Abby.

Now I’m older and wiser, and I’ve come a long way since that night. And I’m finally ready to aim for what I desire the most in life.

The only thing I haven’t taken into account is my heart factor when I bumped into the man who stole my heart all those years ago.

Will we be able to pick up from where we left things that Christmas, or will the secret I’ve been keeping to myself all this time ruin our chances to be together?

Son and Country is a delightful Christmas novella written to make you smile, value serendipity and blush just the tiniest bit when passions ignite!

The story is told in a dual timeline. We open with Abby as she prepares to land he dream job, only to be shocked senseless when she discovers a love connection from the past. At that point, the story slips into the past where we relive Abby and Andy’s first encounter.

The dialogue is so cute as these two young lovebirds banter, tease and learn to appreciate each other. Sure, a one-night-fling-turning-into-love seems impossible to truly develop but I think we can work with it in this instance! Abby and Andy simply recognise their soulmate. But who believes in that?! So they end up going separate ways only to be unexpectedly reunited.

I love the drama and the instant flare of reconnection that ignites when the two protagonists crash into each other’s lives the second time. There’s an added element now, though, that makes for an even more intriguing reconciliation.

The Christmas element is slightly muted but still comes through in the music, decorations and in the very idea that love, discovered during the festive season, may be the sweetest of all.

I give Son and Country 4.5/5 espresso shots.

  1. Aww what a beautiful review. ❤️ I don’t believe in love at first sight or in soulmates for me. But they exist for others but I believe in connection at first sight as it is with us. We haven’t seen each other but our hearts know probably recognize each other. Of course, Bob probably knows you better 😂 had to slip a line in.

Thank you so much for all your support. This was a brilliant review ❤️ Emmanuelle will be crying when she reads this.
