Yay! I’m on time for this post this month! It’s been a crazy few weeks since September got going as we had to settle back into the school routine and the additional after school activities. The boys are still online for school but have been able to sign-up for a couple in-person activities. Teaching for me begins next week and that will throw in some more scheduling demands. Oh well, at least reading is always a great way to escape all the world and life drama.
Better yet, it’s just about officially time to bring on the Christmas reading! I’m pretty sure there’s a Christmas reading challenge that starts in October. I’m going to have to look it up, check through last year’s posts. Maybe Carla can help me out?! 😉
Before I can get into those new books, let’s chat about reading in September. I got through 10 more books, which were mostly a mixture of romance and cozy mystery. Here’s what I read:
Here’s what I read in September…

The cozy mysteries were Moons, Magic and Mystery, English After-Doom Tea and Hard Hitting and Misleading. The contemporary romance stories were Second Chance to Wear His Ring, More Than the Game and Undeniable. The historical romance was How Not to Chaperon a Lady. Christmas reads included Fool me Twice and The Santa Suit. Finally, Renegades was my foray into the fantasy realm.
Three of these books came via my Kindle Unlimited subscription; five were for blog tours/ author requests; and one was a NetGalley pick.

I’m starting with five my TBR for this month. I have three blog tours, and one from NetGalley. Here’s the plan…

A Winter’s Wish for the Cornish Midwife by Jo Bartlett
Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop by Rebecca Raisin
And They Lived Happily Ever After by Therese Beharrie
Never Fall For Your Fiancée by Virginia Heath
The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden
What about you? What are you looking forward to reading this month? Feel free to share links to your October reading lists in the comments.
I’m not Carla but I’ve seen the 20 books of Christmas challenge going around lately. Carlas even shared a post about it. I’m not sure if it’s the one you’re thinking of but I will leave a link to the hosts blog post just in case.

You’re welcome!! I thought about giving it a go but I don’t typically read a whole lot of Christmas books and I decided that I wanted to just focus on my yearly challenges for the last couple months of the year.
