I adore how well-written historical fiction can bring an emotional understanding to issues that no textbook ever could. In doing so, readers / students / historians even can connect with a piece of the past in an even more authentic way.
What are some of your favourites in this genre?
Given my profession, as I Latin American History lecturer, I may be a bit pre-disposed to enjoying books books set in that part of the world. Yet, there are so many others that have piqued my interest in other places and inspired my research into other events.

Yes, we love historical fiction. It’s a fabulous way of teleporting back in time and being able to come back w/o fear of losing some of your particles!
