First Impression Friday (11)

J.W. over at Storeys of Stories hosts this meme.

Taken from his introduction:

First Impression Friday will be a meme where you talk about a book that you JUST STARTED! Maybe you’re only a chapter or two in, maybe a little farther.  Based on this sampling of your current read, give a few impressions and predict what you’ll think by the end.  Did you think you’d love and ended up hating it? Or did you think you’d hate it and wound up loving it? Or were you exactly right? I think what will really make this meme a lot of fun, is linking back to it from your review to say, “Look at how wrong I was!” OR “See? I knew it all along!”

Oh no, it’s come to the end. Book 10 and final in the Spells and Caramels series will be released early next month. I’m sorry to be at the end but thrilled to have one last one to enjoy.  I’m about a quarter into it right now and will probably be long finished by the time this post goes live, but I wanted to share some Spells and Caramels love.

The story already has me giggling as scences shift from hilariously awkward wedding presents to weird pre-wedding challenges and then to a bachelorette party hi-jacked by Jersey Shore mermaids. It looks like it’s going to be a wild, funny and nostalgic ride. I’m thinking 4-5 stars for sure.

Have a great weekend!!!!

  1. I never heard about this one. But I’m always sad and elated when i have one book left to finish a series. I just started “This savage song” by V.E. Schwab, and it sounds… kind of great. the reviews are almost all positive and i have great expectations.
