12 Books to Read Based on Your Favorite ‘Downton Abbey’ Characters

So… no planned post was ready for today, as I’ve been quite busy with work and some other stuff and trying to get through my review reading.  Fortunately, I did find this little gem waiting in my drafts.

***Blogging Tip from the newbie blogger: Keep stuff in your drafts.  Never know when you’re gonna need them!

Pinterest to the rescue:

I was browsing pinterest and I found this pin:

The link to full article is here.

I was wondering if I should turn this into a Reading Challenge for 2018 for me.  I love the explanations given for each of the books and how the book links back to a particular character.  I find Cora’s book incredibly apt and I was amused by the selection for Mary.   I mean, “Naked in Death”… how could it be more perfect?! But they didn’t include a book for Mathew. 🙁

Have any of you Downton Abbey fans read any of the books mentioned?  Do you agree with the linkages? What would you recommend for Matthew?

Shameless plug: Follow me on Pinterest.  😄😀

Happy Tuesday.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a scheduled review of a very special book.

  1. Man, I REALLY need to watch “Downton Abbey” more. I got a copy for my Nana becauee she was in love with it, who proceeded to pass it around the entire family… So, now I have an entire extended family telling me I NEED to watch it!! I watched the 1st 2 episodes and kind of forgot about it… I guess I should get back to it so I can follow your book challenge!! 💖💖

  2. What a fun way to represent each character! I’ve read Me Before You; it’s good and sad and really makes one think about a situation like that. If you go for it and start on this list, I’d love to join you!
