Top 5 Tuesday (6)

FEBRUARY 6TH – Top 5 cover buys

This Top 5 Tuesday meme is hosted by the very lovely and super helpful Shanah at Bionic Bookworm.  If you want to join in, please do. You can check out the fun topics selected for February.  Today’s topic is Top 5 cover buys.

I’m a sucker for a pretty cover.  It’s not  secret.  I’m not ashamed.  Of course the blurb has to be pretty good too to get me to buy the book.  But show me a pretty cover and I’m already half inclined to buy.

I took a quick stroll through my kindle for some of the prettiest covers I could find, as I know they influenced the purchase overall.

I saw this book in December and knew I had to have it.  It was also a really sweet story and was a perfect Christmas read.

A fellow blogger recommend this book.  The blurb looked interesting, the cover was beautiful and I decided to give it a chance, even though it was out of my usual genre.  I was not disappointed at all!

I actually have no idea why I purchased this one.  I probably saw it recommend by another blogger.  It’s a cozy mystery and seems perfect for a nice afternoon read.  Will let you know how it goes.

Speaking of pretty covered cozies… I’m reading this this month as part of my Beat the Backlist with Novel Knight Challenge.  This was another recommended cozy that came with a cover too cute to resist.

Initiation by K. E. O’Connor

I have no idea where I came across this one.  I still think the cover is attention grabbing… and keeping.  It’s about girl who realises she can see ghosts, is sent to a special school and realises she has a pivotal role to play in protecting the world from evil.  I’ll see how it goes.

Charlee and the Chocolate Shop is hands down my favourite though.

What about you?  What’s one of your favourite covers?
