Today I’m participating in First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, hosted by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea, in which bloggers share a bit about a book they’re reading or planning to read soon. Feel free to join in by posting your own book intro, linking back to Diane’s page and joining the FCFPT linky.
Update: FCFPT is now being hosted by I’d Rather Be At The Beach. Head over there to join in the fun.
Dreaming of Florenceby T.A. Williams is a NetGalley book that I hope to finish and review by the end of this month. I won’t be requesting anything until that is accomplished! Besides, I put Dreaming of Florence on my January TBR and I must accomplish at least my first month’s objectives.
Debbie was feeling good. It was a lovely English summer’s day as she cycled through the streets of Cambridge on her way home from work. She was humming to herself, her eyes on the cycle path ahead, but her mind was far away in her happy place. Ever since her teens, this special secret place in the hidden recesses of her mind had been her refuge from everyday life and worries about school, family, work, or more recently, Paul. It was a place to relax and unwind, to rest and recuperate, and she loved it dearly. She had seen it in her daydreams so many times over the years that by now she felt she knew every blade of grass and every single petal on the rose bushes, even though she had never actually been there.
Fresh pasta, red wine, fine art… and love? Find enchantment this year in the magical city of Florence.
